Alan Hock To Speak At IABC-LI Seminar

Garden City, New York; November 4, 2004 — Alan Hock, a partner at the Garden City law firm of Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz LLP, will speak at the Long Island Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators’ (IABC-LI) luncheon seminar ‘Risks and Rights for Creative People’ on November 17, 2004 at the Fox Hollow Inn in Woodbury from 11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

In his presentation, Hock will share strategies to maximize the legal protections available for trademarks and copyrights. He will also discuss the emerging topic of trademarks and Internet web addresses (domain names) and offer creative copywriting techniques which produce effective marketing promotions and protect from deceptive advertising issues.

Alan Hock is a partner in the firm where he heads the Promotional Marketing, Advertising & Intellectual Property practice group. He has represented some of the country’s largest direct response advertisers who market directly to consumers through the vehicles of catalogs, direct mail, space advertising, infomercials, television spot advertising and the Internet. Recognized as an expert in his field, Mr. Hock has appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, ABC’s 20/20 and CNBC.
