Diversity & Inclusion
Moritt Hock & Hamroff is committed to embracing diversity and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We know that in order to attract and retain the best talent, and to effectively serve our clients, our professionals must reflect the very diverse Long Island and New York City communities in which we work and live. We are dedicated to helping our firm and the legal profession attract and retain individuals regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation or gender identification, and we strive to demonstrate this commitment in our recruiting, training, and mentoring, and through events, speakers and other forms of outreach. Our lawyers and other staff are involved in many professional and charitable organizations dedicated to the advancement of women and underrepresented populations in both the legal profession and our communities generally, and the firm supports and encourages these activities. We are proud of our diversity and inclusion efforts, and we fully realize there is still much work to do.
The firm is a proud signatory of the New York City Bar Association’s Statement of Diversity Principles, and we participate in its Diversity Fellowship Program, providing a summer internship to a diverse 1L law student in our New York City office.
The firm also hosts Annual Women Roundtable Networking events for women lawyers of the firm and law students in our Garden City office. The roundtables provide women law students with an opportunity to network with MH&H attorneys to discuss the realities of legal practice and how to best cultivate their legal careers.
