GARDEN CITY, NY; September 11, 2019 —Robert S. Cohen and Stephen E. Breidenbach, attorneys at Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP (MH&H), will be the featured speakers at the September 19 meeting of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) Suffolk Chapter. Cohen and Breidenbach will be leading a discussion entitled “Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Electronic Signatures.”

“Technological improvements continue to move us forward. Steve and I would like to share our experience on how to use technology to conduct business better and more safely,” stated Cohen. Those attending can expect to learn about the techniques cybercriminals use to steal information, what businesses can do to defend themselves, and how the laws surrounding handling and protecting information are changing. The session will also explain the use and enforceability of electronic signatures in the marketplace.

Cohen, a partner of MH&H and member of its Secured Lending and Equipment Finance practice group, is a frequent speaker on electronic signatures and cybersecurity. Breidenbach serves as co-chair of the firm’s Cybersecurity, Privacy and Technology practice group; has extensive experience in privacy- and cybersecurity-related matters; and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional and co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Internet/Privacy Subcommittee. As recognized industry leaders, both Cohen and Breidenbach have published and spoken extensively on these topics.
