Commercial Litigation Associate (Plantation Office)
We are seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate with 5-7 years of pretrial and trial experience to join our Litigation practice. The role will focus on complex litigation matters, including business disputes, real estate litigation, trust and estate disputes, and other high-stakes commercial matters. The ideal candidate will be able to independently handle all aspects of case preparation, pretrial proceedings, and courtroom advocacy.
Responsibilities
• Independently manage cases from inception through trial preparation, including depositions, court appearances, pleadings, and motion practice
• Oversee all aspects of discovery, including document review, production, and strategy
• Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and other materials for pretrial and trial proceedings
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with partners and first-chair counsel
• Support settlement negotiations, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal guidance throughout all phases of litigation
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• License to practice law in good standing in Florida
• 5-7 years of experience in commercial litigation, with proven ability to manage depositions, hearings, and pretrial preparation independently
• Experience handling complex business, contract, real estate, probate, or similar commercial disputes
• Strong drafting, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities
• Excellent courtroom presence and advocacy skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with senior attorneys and practice teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact directly with clients and counterparties
