MHH Obtains Favorable Victory In Lemon Law Dispute For Pro Bono Client

MHH was retained by the plaintiff after she was sold a used lemon vehicle from an automobile dealership over and above the advertised sales price, and deceived into purchasing various add-on packages and warranties that failed to cover the defects in the lemon vehicle. Within weeks of the sale, the lemon vehicle was deemed inoperable due to several mechanical defects.

Led by Nicholas Calabria and Stephen Ginsberg, MHH commenced an arbitration proceeding on behalf of our client against the dealership alleging various causes of action, including, but not limited to, violations of the New York Lemon Law, fraud, conversion, and false advertising.

Within weeks of filing the demand for arbitration, all claims were settled. The dealership agreed to accept the return of the lemon vehicle, pay off our client’s outstanding loan for the vehicle in full, and reimburse our client $10,000.00 for out of pocket costs and expenses she sustained in connection with the sale of the lemon vehicle.
