Moritt Hock & Hamroff Proudly Supports Hofstra Law School’s Access To Justice Incubator Project

The Hofstra Law Access to Justice Incubator is a non-profit entity affiliated with the University and formed with the assistance of the New York State Unified Court System and the Task Force to Expand Access to Civil Legal Services established by Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman in 2010. Similar to the Task Force, the Incubator’s dual mission is to fill a critical gap in access to certain civil legal services for low- and moderate-income individuals, and to promote a culture of service in the legal profession. The Incubator focuses on areas of civil practice which have been identified as being in critical need of legal services in Nassau County, including guardianship matters, Landlord/Tenant proceedings, foreclosure actions, and securing public and private benefits and access to appropriate healthcare.
