Billing & Accounts Receivable Coordinator

 

Accounts Receivables Responsibilities                                                                                             

  • Manually mark-up month-end A/R Aging Reports with “Last Status” & highlight all A/R over 60 that need responses from RBA
  • Scan & distribute A/R Aging Reports accordingly
  • Maintain Control Log of all distributed A/R Aging Reports & Responses from RBA’s
  • Meet with RBA’s to review their reports and discuss collection efforts
  • Post all returned responses to Prolaw Events Tabs
  • Provide for collection follow-ups and requests for information as instructed by RBAs (letters, emails, telephone calls, backup/bill copies, SoAs, bill/pay histories etc.)
  • Maintain updated Prolaw Events Tabs by posting any/all collection efforts,  updated collection statuses, &/or “docket” reminders; thereby maximizing the  integrity of the A/R Exception Program

Time & Billing Responsibilities

  • Assist with the reporting and closing of time entry at month-end closes
  • Assist with preparing and processing of client bills
  • Assist with preparing write-offs for Management approval & processing in Prolaw
  • Assist with analysis and corrections of problems associated with various bill processing (example: incorrect payments &/or bill processing.)
  • Assist with various client requests (Statement of Accounts, Bill/Pay histories, Auditor’s Requests etc.)

Other

  • Assist with the input and distribution of daily Cash Receipts
  • Complete special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Two or four-year Accounting degree
  • Two or more years’ billing experience in a law firm or service industry
    • We will consider candidates whose degree is not in Accounting who have five or more years’ billing experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in ProLaw a plus
