Commercial lending, equipment leasing, real estate finance, asset based lending, ESOPs, insurance and tax planning are some of the many practice areas in which we serve our Financial Institution clients. We remain actively involved in the industries we serve through association memberships, legislative lobbying and publishing in industry specific periodicals and bar association journals.
Our attorneys regularly advise our financial institutions on litigation and bankruptcy issues, commercial and lending transactions, mergers and acquisitions, documentation and program creations, public and private financing and employment matters. We have assisted in the formation of captive finance institution subsidiaries for parent holding companies, created complete commercial finance and leasing documentation, formed and financed ESOPs and represented issuers, underwriters and developers in municipal bond transactions.
Given the relatively modest size of our firm, our practice areas work closely together to deliver a wide range of services to our clients. Many of our attorneys have moved from one practice area to another during their careers thereby giving them a better sense of the client’s overall needs. We have always believed, for example, that an attorney who started her career in litigation and workouts would bring a great deal more to the table when she moves into structuring and documenting commercial loan transactions.
