Stephen Brodsky Featured Speaker At NCBA Commercial Litigation Committee ADR/Mediation Seminar
Stephen Brodsky will be one of the featured speakers at the Nassau County Bar Association’s ADR/Mediation Seminar on February 28, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Bar Association.
Mr. Brodsky’s topic “Navigating Federal and State Laws in a New York Arbitrations” will cover hot topics in arbitration pertaining to federal and state law, including the interplay of the Federal Arbitration Act and CPLR Article 75 and determination of arbitrability.
The seminar also includes a section entitled “Mediation Matters: Trends, Successes and Disappointments in Court-Sanctioned Mediation”. A distinguished panel of speakers including the Honorable A. Kathleen Tomlinson, United States Magistrate Judge , E.D.N.Y., the Honorable Leonard A. Austin, Associate Justice, Appellate Division, Second Department, Lisa M. Courtney, Esq., Statewide ADR Coordinator for the NYS Unified Court System and Patrick Michael McKenna, Esq., renowned mediator will discuss trends, successes and potential pitfalls in Court-sponsored mediation programs.
The seminar provides 2 CLE credits in professional practice skills.
