Peter Zlotnick, a partner of the firm, will serve as a featured panelist at the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers and American Bankruptcy Institute’s virtual summit “Insolvency 2020 Restructuring, Insolvency & Distressed Debt” on October 14, 2020. The 21 day summit takes place between September 16 – October 27.

Peter’s panel session “Tribune & Federal Preemption of State Fraudulent Transfer Laws”  will address the following key issues:

• • Does the safe harbor provisions of 11 U.S.C. 546(e) also provide shelter to transferees from state law fraudulent transfer actions in non-bankruptcy courts?
  • Does the doctrine of  pre-emption apply to impact litigation outside of the bankruptcy court?
