Laurie Kazenoff & Michelle Espey Featured Speakers At Volunteer Lawyers For The Arts’ Tax Seminar
Laurie Kazenoff, a partner of the firm, and Michelle Espey, counsel to the firm, will be the featured speakers at the Volunteer Lawyers For The Arts’ (VLA) seminar “How to Navigate the IRS and the New York State & New York City Tax Departments-What You Need to Know” on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm at the VLA Auditorium in New York City.
The seminar will cover how the tax system works, what tools the government has to audit or collect taxes from you, what tools you have to resolve your matter, and what you can do to protect yourself. Attorneys can benefit by gaining a better understanding of how to counsel artists and arts organizations on tax issues, as well as anyone looking to gain a better understanding of the tax system and how to handle associated difficult scenarios.
