Peter B. Zlotnick is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and Co-Chair of its Real Estate Condominium and Cooperative Practice Group.  Practicing for more than 25 years, Mr. Zlotnick focuses his practice on real estate matters and complex construction defect litigation as well as complex commercial and healthcare disputes.  His clients include commercial and residential real estate developers, co-op and condominium boards, design professionals, for-profit and not-for-profit business entities, private equity firms and high net worth individuals. He also litigates corporate governance, business torts, tax, bankruptcy and other types of business disputes.  In addition, Mr. Zlotnick serves as a federal equity receiver and public fiduciary in consumer fraud and related federal equity receiverships brought by the Federal Trade Commission, the Commodity Futures Trade Commission and other federal regulatory agencies.

Mr. Zlotnick is admitted to practice in New York as well as before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.

Affiliations

Mr. Zlotnick serves as a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Cooperative & Condominium Law Committee and as a member of the Real Estate and Business Law Sections of the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Business Litigation Committee.  He has also served as a member of the Construction Law Committee and Green Building Sub-Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the 82nd Street Partnership, a Business Improvement District (BID) in Jackson Heights-Corona, Queens.  Additionally, Mr. Zlotnick serves as Co-Chair of the Regulatory Sub-Committee and a member of the Amicus and Best Practices Committees of the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers. He is a member of both the Trial Law Institute and Diversity Law Institute of the Construction Lawyers Society of America.  Mr. Zlotnick is also a Past President of Temple Sinai of Bergen County, New Jersey, and has served as a member of the Legal Policy & Issues Committee of the Lawyers Division of the Anti-Defamation League and as a past member of the Advisory Board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation (Metro New York area).
