Steven S. Rubin, Esq. Appointed Chair Of American Bar Association’s IP Transactions & Licensing Committee
GARDEN CITY, NY; September 12, 2016 —Steven S. Rubin, a partner in the Long Island office of the law firm of Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP and resident of Oceanside, was recently appointed to serve as Chair of the IP Transactions and Licensing Committee of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA), effective September 1, 2016.
The ABA’s IP Transactions and Licensing Committee is responsible for conducting meetings and programs focusing on issues relating to intellectual property licensing and other contracts involving the ownership, transfer or exchange of intellectual property rights, including security interests involving intellectual property rights, taxation, and bankruptcy issues.
Steven S. Rubin concentrates his practice on all phases of complex patent-related matters, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Rubin serves as chair of the firm’s patent practice group, as well as co-chair of the firm’s cybersecurity practice group. As a prolific author and lecturer, he has also taught intellectual property law at Stony Brook University, as well as patent law at Brooklyn Law School, Fordham University School of Law, Stony Brook University and Farmingdale State College. Mr. Rubin earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and his B.S., magna cum laude, in electrical engineering, from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).
