Moritt Hock & Hamroff’s Leslie A. Berkoff Leads Team To Publish New Health Care Insolvency Manual

Garden City, New York; August 8, 2012 — Leslie A. Berkoff, a partner at the Garden City and New York City law firm of Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP, announces the release of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) Health Care Insolvency Manual, Third Edition. Ms. Berkoff served as Co-Editor in Chief of the publication.

Ms. Berkoff is a partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP where she also serves as Chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy practice group. She concentrates her practice in the area of bankruptcy and restructuring litigation and corporate workouts, and she represents a variety of corporate debtors, trustees, creditors and creditor committees both nationally and locally. Ms. Berkoff served as Chair of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) from 2004-2008 and served on its Board of Directors for over ten years. She also served as Co-Chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Healthcare Insolvency Committee from 2008-2011 and is currently head of Special Projects for that Committee. In addition, Ms. Berkoff serves on the mediation panels of the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the E.D.N.Y., S.D.N.Y. and Delaware. Ms. Berkoff is also an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association and a past Chair of its Bankruptcy Committee. She also serves on the Board of Editors of Pratt’s Journal of Bankruptcy Law. Ms. Berkoff earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.
