Leslie A. Berkoff Moderates Panel At 2011 NBI Bankruptcy Forum

Garden City, New York; April 27, 2011—  Leslie A. Berkoff, a partner at the Garden City law firm of Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP, will moderate a panel discussion “Here The Preferences and Thoughts of Judges and Trustees” at the National Business Institute’s Bankruptcy Judicial and Trustee Forum on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the Long Island Hilton Hotel in Melville.

The forum will cover the hottest topics in consumer bankruptcy from the viewpoint of decision makers who work in the field every day. The program is designed to help attorneys and paralegals take their knowledge of bankruptcy law issues to the next level so they can offer their clients the solid, straightforward advice they need during a bankruptcy case.

Ms. Berkoff is a partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP where she also serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation and Bankruptcy practice groups.  She concentrates her practice in the area of bankruptcy and restructuring litigation and corporate workouts, and she represents a variety of corporate debtors, trustees, creditors and creditor committees both nationally and locally.  Ms. Berkoff served as Chair of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) from 2004-2008 and has served on its Board of Directors for over ten years.  She currently serves as Co-Chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Healthcare Insolvency Committee and is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association and is a past Chair of its Bankruptcy Committee.  In addition, Ms. Berkoff serves on the Board of Editors of Pratt’s Journal of Bankruptcy Law and is a past President and Board Member of Hofstra School of Law’s Alumni Association.
