Healthcare

A multidisciplinary approach in helping clients to meet compliance and business challenges.

To meet the complex needs of healthcare providers in an increasingly competitive and highly regulated industry, our Healthcare group employs a multidisciplinary approach with attorneys from other specialties within the firm to provide complete and coordinated representation for our clients.

We represent practitioners and groups of all sizes both within and outside of medical and healthcare institutions including physicians, dentists, nursing homes, health clinics, physical therapy and rehabilitation centers, as well as fitness and wellness organizations. In addition, we represent clients who provide ancillary services and products to the healthcare industry including pharmaceutical companies, practice management companies, telehealth and other software and technology companies, medical billing and records companies, and consultants and manufacturers.

We are actively engaged in representing clients in the negotiation and documentation of transactions, including affiliations, mergers and acquisitions of practices, private equity roll-ups of practices, as well as corporate, partnership and employment relationship issues. We also assist our clients in navigating through the minefield of compliance responsibilities with federal, state and local regulators, and routinely represent providers facing Medicare and Medicaid insurance audits and fraud investigations, disputes with managed care companies, and disciplinary, licensing and credentialing matters.

Our Healthcare group also works closely with our Financial Services group to meet the needs of commercial lending clients in the healthcare arena by managing regulatory and licensing matters, structuring and negotiating financing, acquisitions or divestitures, structuring and negotiating contracts in support of operations, negotiating and drafting partnership and shareholder agreements, as well as advising and handling labor and employment matters and litigation.
