Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP Adds White Collar Defense Practice: Randy Zelin, Esq. Joins Firm

Garden City, New York; February 1, 2011— Marc L. Hamroff, managing partner of Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP, is pleased to announce that Randy Zelin, Esq. has joined the firm as a partner, adding a new area of practice in the white collar defense sector. Mr. Zelin brings over 20 years of white collar defense experience to Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP.

Randy Zelin concentrates his practice in the representation of business organizations, boards of directors, professionals, and individuals in all facets of complex criminal and civil matters in both State and Federal Courts, as well as before financial regulators and SROs. A former prosecutor, Mr. Zelin has handled numerous high profile cases. The scope of his practice is diversified, and includes securities fraud, insider trading, RICO, SEC, FINRA, Patriot Act and Sarbanes Oxley Act, tax fraud, mail/wire fraud, money laundering/structuring, bank fraud, mortgage fraud, bankruptcy fraud, antitrust and deceptive trade practices, public corruption, insurance fraud and abuse, as well as all other criminal law matters.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Zelin regularly appears as a legal analyst on FOX News, FOX Business, and FOX Radio to discuss noteworthy trials and legal issues. He has also appeared on the O’Reilly Factor, Geraldo at Large, Nancy Grace, Tru TV, CNN and CNN Headline News. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education programs on criminal law and procedure. Mr. Zelin has also taught as a guest instructor in various local law schools’ trial advocacy programs, as well as for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He earned his J.D. from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg School of Law.
