Steven A. Horowitz joined the firm as a name partner in April 2000 and is the head of the firm’s Tax and Trusts and Estates Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Horowitz was the founding partner at the law firm of Horowitz, Mencher, Klosowski & Nestler, P.C.
Mr. Horowitz concentrates primarily in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, elder law, income tax planning, business planning for closely held business entities and securities. Mr. Horowitz has represented numerous clients before the Internal Revenue Service and New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
Mr. Horowitz is a nationally published author and a contributing author for CCH Taxes, The Tax Magazine. He is also a frequent lecturer on topics related to estate and tax planning, charitable planned giving, qualified and non-qualified retirement planning, as well as business succession planning.
Mr. Horowitz devotes time to teaching and is currently a Special Professor of Estate Planning and Partnership Tax Law at Hofstra Law School.

Admissions
Mr. Horowitz was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1985, and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court in 1989.
Affiliations
Mr. Horowitz is an active member of the American and New York State Bar Associations, where he serves on the Taxation and Trusts and Estates Committees. He also serves on the boards of several New York City and Long Island Charities.
