Robert M. TilsPartner
Robert M. Tils is a partner with the firm and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation practice group. Mr. Tils joined Moritt Hock & Hamroff in 1990 after practicing for four years in Manhattan. He became a partner in January 1996 and concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, employment law and bankruptcy, representing many national and local banks, equipment leasing companies and financing institutions, as well as general corporate clients and individuals. He has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation involving commercial loans and equipment leases, trade secrets, restrictive covenants, non-compete clauses, real estate and shareholder disputes, and regularly counsels clients in the avoidance of such disputes.

Mr. Tils is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to each of the Federal District Courts in New York and New Jersey, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Tils is a member of, and has been a speaker before, the National Equipment Finance Association. He is also a member of the Litigation Sections of the American, New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations. Mr. Tils volunteers his time to help raise funds for United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island.
