Diversity & Inclusion

Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our professionals and staff, believing that this will fuel innovation and enrich our relationships with our clients and the communities we serve.  We embrace the importance of fostering awareness, appreciation, and respect for different ethnicities, races, countries and regions of origin, religions, sexual orientations, and physical abilities in a positive and supportive workplace. Our programming goals are: (a) to work with firm management and practice leaders to assist the firm in increasing and maintaining diversity and inclusion among attorneys and administrative staff at all levels by means of both recruitment and elevation; (b) invest in internal diversity training and facilitate dialogue both inside and outside of the firm about the importance of diversity and inclusion, and how to create and maintain an inclusive workplace; (c) to host, sponsor and attend panel discussions, conferences, skill-building seminars, women’s initiatives, minority bar association events, and other events related to diversity and inclusion issues.

The firm is a proud signatory of the New York City Bar Association’s Statement of Diversity Principles, and we participated in its Diversity Fellowship Program, providing a summer internship to a diverse 1L law student in our New York City office.

The firm also hosts Annual Women Roundtable Networking events for women lawyers of the firm and law students in our Garden City office.  The roundtables provide women law students with an opportunity to network with MH&H attorneys to discuss the realities of legal practice and how to best cultivate their legal careers.
